Shabby Chic World Desk
I had this desk in the garage for years, half finished. My husband got it at a garage sale with the intention of refinishing it. So I finally said I was taking over his project, as I was getting tired of it being in the garage. So I purchased a World map poster for $5.00, and decided I would do some Decoupage. I sanded the top and underneath, stained it, and finished it with wax. I used a Sea Blue chalk paint, lightly distressed it, and then waxed it. The map drawers took a while and a lot of coats of furniture Mod Podge, but I love how it turned out, wish I had done it sooner.
